Day One - Hutong Village

We had such a fun day today. I took so many pictures that I decided to break the day up into different posts.  The day started at Tiananmen Square but the lines just to cross the street were about 1 1/2 hours long so we headed over to Hutong Village.  This is a very old part of Beijing where the streets are so narrow they use Rickshaws to drive tourists around. We rode in a Rickshaw and thenate lunch at a home of a locl family. I was worried about Brig eating the local food because he is not experimental when it comes to food. But he did great!

  1. Happy memories! I loved our days in Beijing. That dish with the green things. Is that garlic scapes? Those are SO good! Looking forward to seeing and hearing more.
