Shaolin Temple

Today we went to the Shaolin Temple. It is the birthplace of Kung Fu and about 1 1/2 hours away from Zhengzhou. We were so excited to take Brig here. It was a cooler rainy day here, which was a very welcome change from two years ago when it was so hot. We watched a Kung Fu show, walked around a lot of really ancient buildings, saw lots of Buddhist monks and Brig bought lots of amazing weapons. Sarah was a dream child again. Rick started calling her our princess dragon because he had to carry her in her stroller all over and when she would get a little demanding, he would feed her. She still hasn't had a hard moment. She "talks" non stop in Chinese jibberish. She is adorable!!!!
I can't help myself from taking her picture
With some of the other kiddos from our group
Huge groups would surround us and take our picture.
At the pagodas - fancy monk grave yard
We stopped for a snack. It was an actual monk's house
Rubbing this dragon turtle for good luck
This is a 600 year old pot
